This commercial add-on for Zen Cart uses the Highslide JS script written in JavaScript by Torstein Hønsi.

Highslide JS is an open source JavaScript software, offering a Web 2.0 approach to popup windows. It streamlines the use of thumbnail images and HTML popups on web pages. The library offers these features and advantages:

• No plugins like Flash or Java required.
• Popup blockers are no problem. The content expands within the active browser window.
• Single click. After opening the image or HTML popup, the user can scroll further down or leave the page without closing it.
• Compatibility and safe fallback. If the user has disabled JavaScript or is using an old browser, the browser redirects directly to the image itself or to a fallback HTML page.

The Zen Cart version of this module allows Zen Cart websites to display main and additional product images with Highslide. Additional functions have been created so that other images can also use Highslide other than product images. For an example of this, see the main image on the Numinix homepage.

Why is this add-on important?

If you have installed Magic SEO URLs (required), you have now made a commitment to using these new URLs in your marketing strategies. Every link back to your website should maintain the same URL format as to promote higher PageRank for that URL. For example, these two pages would be indexed differently and assigned a different PageRank:

By always using the same URL format in all of your links, PageRank will be assigned to the appropriate URL.

Installation

The installation requires no page overwrites. The install .sql file is to support the RSS Feed module only and is automatically deleted fom the SQL database with the removal of the RSS Feed module. Please follow the instructions included within the package to install the add-on. The add-on can be activated within the admin configuration of each individual module listed above.

This module allows store owners to give discounts by price and quantity on a per category basis. The discount can be calculated by the total of a single product within the category group, or by the total of all the products within the category group.

As this is an order total module, the discount is not reflected until the customer reaches the checkout. However, additional features are included that aid in notifying customers of the discount eligibility.
