Zooming in on your product will not improve the focus, but will crop the photo instead. If you\u2019re using a smartphone, simply tap on the image to focus.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dont\"><\/span><b>Don&#8217;t<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use the built-in flash. If your image looks too dark, this is a sign that you are using insignificant lighting and you need to move to a room that is well-lit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do-2\"><\/span><b>Do<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use a tripod or mount. Even if you have the steadiest hand in the world, there is a chance you will lose the sharpness of your images without something for your camera or smartphone to stand on.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dont-2\"><\/span><b>Don&#8217;t<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use a dark backdrop. Instead, using a white backdrop will reflect white light back onto your product and prevent colour spills.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do-3\"><\/span><b>Do<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take your photos by a window. Unless you\u2019re a professional, you should avoid using artificial light sources. Taking photos in a well-lit room (ideally with the window to the left or right of the product you are photographing) is your best bet<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dont-3\"><\/span><b>Don&#8217;t<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let the light reflections spoil your photo. You can use a reflector to avoid harsh shadows and evenly distribute light across the product.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do-4\"><\/span><b>Do<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take advantage of image editing. Using the pen tool on Adobe Photoshop, you can remove the background of your photo to achieve a clean cut around the product. It\u2019s a fiddly process, but using a white background gives your image a clean, professional look on your website. Other editing techniques such as colour correcting to give a more accurate representation of colour, (for example, removing a yellow cast), and removing blemishes from the product are extremely effective.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dont-4\"><\/span><b>Don&#8217;t<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overdo it with the editing. The whole point of providing images next to your products on your website is so that your customers can look at what they are getting.
