Really Good Stuff<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I have said it before and I will say it again:\u00a0 <a title=\"Content is the Key\" href=\"https:\/\/www.numinix.com\/wordpress\/2010\/04\/22\/content-content-content-the-key-to-sales-on-your-site\/\" target=\"_blank\">Content is the key<\/a> to success.\u00a0 The first step in promoting your blog is to write great content, over and over again.\u00a0 It must be TRUE (Timely, Readable, Useful, and Exciting).\u00a0 You want people to come back.\u00a0 Not only that, you want them to send others back to you.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t put something on your blog simply for the sake of having something to post.\u00a0 If you put more effort in to your postings, you will get more out of them.\u00a0 Your readers will reward you by sharing the love, and coming back often.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_Your_Network_To_Your_Advantage\"><\/span>Use Your Network To Your Advantage<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Beatles wrote &#8220;I get by with a little help from my friends&#8221;. If you want your blog to be seen by the masses, you too will need help.\u00a0 Are you on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, or LinkedIn?\u00a0 If not, you should be.\u00a0 It is highly likely that you have more than a handful of friends, or followers on your social networking site.\u00a0 Get them to help you promote your blog.\u00a0 Make sure that you announce to the whole community about your intent to start a blog, and what it is all about.\u00a0 Then you need to remind them&#8230;regularly.\u00a0 In this information age in which we live, attention spans are shorter, people are busier, and those friends may forget over time that you still have a blog.\u00a0 Encourage them to share it with their friends, foes, and everyone in between.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_What_The_Big_Boys_Do_Or_Did\"><\/span>Do What The Big Boys Do (Or Did)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>How did Apple go from always chasing Microsoft to becoming the &#8220;coolest kid in school&#8221;?\u00a0 How did a barely-known freshman congressman from Illinois become the President of the United States?\u00a0 The answer is branding.\u00a0 They created a brand, and applied the concepts of branding as well as\u00a0 anyone in history. You must do the same for your blog to be successful.\u00a0 You have already done it for your website, you just need to apply these same concepts to your blog. Here are some key points to remember:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Promote Your Core Message<\/strong> &#8211; No doubt, you have already decided who you want to reach, what they are looking for, and what you have to offer them.\u00a0 Make sure you are using your blog to promote this same message.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keep The Message Consistent &#8211; <\/strong>Make sure that all of your titles, postings, comments, e-mails, etc., help to reinforce your core message or mission statement.\u00a0 Many a company have fallen due to not walking what they are talking.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t let that be you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Repeat the Message Often &#8211; <\/strong>The more people hear it, the more they know it.\u00a0 Make sure you are the one that sticks in their minds next time they are looking for goods\/services that you offer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fill_Your_Toolbox\"><\/span>Fill Your Toolbox<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are a number of tools you can utilize to further promote your blog and make sure people have access to your postings as quickly, and easily, as possible.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s how to take your blog to the next level:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Pinging &#8211; <\/strong>This is a simple way of letting search engines and other relevant websites know that you have updated your blog.\u00a0 You can use a simple, free, service like <a title=\"PingOMatic Website\" href=\"http:\/\/pingomatic.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ping-O-Matic<\/a> or <a title=\"Pingoat website\" href=\"http:\/\/pingoat.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pingoat <\/a>to do this for you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Social Bookmarking &#8211; <\/strong>These don&#8217;t do anything on their own, but they provide your posting with initial backlinks and the opportunity to be voted for and ranked highly.\u00a0 If you find these sites too time consuming, try <a title=\"IMAutormator website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imautomator.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMAutomator<\/a>.\u00a0 This service allows you to fill out one form, and have your posting drip-fed to fifteen different social bookmarking sites over the course of a month.\u00a0 It only takes about a minute to use, so give it a try.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tweet It, Post It, Like It &#8211;
