Zen Cart Upgrade

Upgrading your Zen Cart to the latest version can be a difficult and time consuming task. Let our professional programmers make the transition smoothly by ensuring that all of your currently installed modules work with the latest version. We'll update your files and database to the latest version and reinstall and/or update your current Numinix modules and plugins to their latest versions. Third party Zen Cart modules are not included in this upgrade, as not all modules are compatible with the latest version of Zen Cart. Generally we are able to upgrade all plugins in an Upgrades store. See below for more details.

Our pricing is based on your current installation of Zen Cart. The older your version is, the more differences there will be and more file merging required to complete the upgrade. Upgrades can take up to two weeks.

After purchasing the upgrade, a ticket will be opened automatically. We will request credentials to your server and store including your FTP, admin and cPanel information. These details can be securely transmitted via our ticketing system.

Upgrade Service Selections Explained:

1. Zen Cart Version Selection:

Go to your current admin to see which version of Zen Cart you are running. Use that as the starting point and select the option that matches your needs. This service is a flat rate upgrade on the Core Zen Cart files. 

2. Upgrade Numinix Plugin Deposit:

This is a 2 hour deposit to upgrade any Numinix made plugins you may be usings. Usually you can estimate 1 hour for each plugin you need. So the base price here is for 2 plugins unless there are major changes to be made. 

3. Upgrade 3rd Party Plugin Deposit:

This is a 2 hour deposit to upgrade any plugins made by a 3rd Party you may be usings. Usually you can estimate 1 - 2 hours for each plugin you need. So the base price here is for 1-2 plugins unless there are major changes to be made. 

4. Upgrade Custom Code Deposit:

This a 2 hour deposit to upgrade custom code on your site to make it compatible with the new Zen Cart and PHP requirements. If there is a lot of custom code, more billable time will be required here. 

5. PHP Upgrade on Server:

Zen Cart Versions have different requirements for the host server's PHP. More info here; https://docs.zen-cart.com/user/first_steps/server_requirements/

This is a 1 hour deposit for switching the PHP version on a dev environment on the server and testing, and then doing the same with the live site when approved. 

6. Discounted Dev Environment Setup:

Numinix clients have a full version control set up. We test on dev, present on staging and deploy to the live environment in a few clicks with automated webhooks.
